Porcelain Veneers Northern Virginia

Porcelain Veneers An Overview

Dental veneers can be a lasting solution for cosmetic concerns such as tooth discoloration, a misshapen tooth, gaps between teeth or damage.

Dr. Datta Malyavantham is an experienced cosmetic dentist in Northern Virginia, providing Smile Design services and cosmetic treatments at Ridgetop Dental in Reston and Sterling. Highly trained in the latest techniques and utilizing high quality materials, Dr. Datta combines skill and an eye for the aesthetic when placing custom dental veneers with natural looking results.

Same Day Ceramic Veneers

The evolution of digital and CAD/CAM technology in dentistry enables us to provide you with not only a more pleasant patient experience, but the highest standard of care in less time. Ridgetop Dental uses CEREC technology to allow Dr. Datta to design, fabricate and place ceramic dental veneers during a single visit.

CEREC ceramic veneers are offered for the placement of up to 4 veneers as part of a smile makeover or to repair tooth damage. Digital impressions and CAD/CAM treatment planning offers more predictable and comfortable results that will blend beautifully with your natural smile for years to come.

Porcelain Veneers: Lasting Beauty for Your Smile

For patients seeking to cover more than 4 teeth or to makeover their entire smile with veneers, Dr. Datta places porcelain veneers in our Reston and Sterling dentist offices.

Made of an ultra-thin but highly durable layer of porcelain ceramic, porcelain veneers are custom color matched and fit for your smile. Once placed, they will reflect light much like natural teeth and provide many years of wear and stain resistance due to the quality of the material and high standard of care we offer when it comes to cosmetic and restorative dental treatments.

Porcelain Veneers What to Expect

The veneers process will involve multiple steps, the number of visits depending on the type of veneers being placed.

If your ceramic veneers are being placed using CEREC technology, we will schedule a visit after your consultation during which your new veneers will be placed using CEREC technology. As with all types of dental veneers, Dr. Datta will prepare the teeth to be treated by gently removing a minimal amount of tooth surface structure for a comfortable and stable placement of the material.

Once ready, the veneers will be permanently secured to the prepared teeth and then polished to a natural luster and adjusted as necessary for fit.

If porcelain veneers are being placed, an initial visit will be necessary to prepare the teeth and then take dental impressions to be used by a dental lab in making your porcelain veneers. Temporary veneers can be placed while your custom restorations are being made.

Once the veneers are complete, you will return to our cosmetic dentistry office in Reston, VA or Sterling, VA for the final placement of your restorations.

Porcelain veneers are considered a permanent restoration and are made to last many years with proper dental care.
